The Kalamata Region is globally known for its high-quality Kalamata olives and natural extra virgin olive oil. Over 95% of the world-famous Koroneiki variety is grown in this region. This cylindrical variety has an oil content between 20% and 30% and is harvested from mid-November to the end of January.
