Bio-olive oil extra virgin in handmade and hand-painted ceramic bottle in colorful colors.
Minafra Bio-oil is intensely fruity and has a fine green note of ripe olives.
The taste opens with an immediately present, variety-typical bitterness, followed by a fine spice. Both consistently supported by the plant green.
A light astringent note combines with a pleasant entirety and a subtle body, rounded off by a good consistency.
This oil has a high number of polyphenols, which, especially when consumed raw. Ideal for dishes with strong flavor: pumpkin cream, bruschetta with homemade bread, pasta and vegetables, or with ripe cheese.
The oil comes from the municipality of Ruvo di Puglia in Apulia. Mauro, Marino and Giuseppe Minafra started producing certified organic olive oil on about 50 hectares in 2000 based on respect for nature and fair conditions for all employees.
The olive trees are located at an altitude of 350/400 m. above sea level and enjoy a south / east orientation, which allows the plants and their fruits to enjoy the sun to the fullest.
The agricultural company, which carries out its entire management according to the principles of organic farming, does not use pesticides and other harmful chemicals, but on the one hand uses the natural advantages of the sun and on the other hand the full power of the earth. Thanks to the existing machines (choppers and stone mills), we grind and crush all cutting residues (orchards, vineyards and olive groves, etc.) very finely and transform them into organic fertilizer that can be easily absorbed by the soil.
The addition of organic substances from the soil allows for better respiration and achieves optimal hydrogeological balance for the health of the plants and their fruits.
The Minafra family firmly believes in the importance of organic farming, which is why their entire agricultural operation is managed in organic farming on 100 hectares. Their mission is to produce healthy food that helps consumers eat healthily and live better.
